Making miso bowls
Experience making your own miso using the power of koji
Onocho, Kanazawa City, is a town where underground water has been gushing out since ancient times at the tip of the alluvial fan formed by Mt. Hakusan and the river that flows from it. Yamato Soy Sauce and Miso, a long-established Kanazawa company, uses this underground water as the brewing water for soy sauce. You can experience making miso bowls at Koji Park, run by the company. Learn about the appeal of koji through "seeing, making, and eating," and take home a cutely wrapped miso as a souvenir.

Morning and evening activities at Shoshoji Temple
A moment of tranquility at a Kanazawa temple to calm your mind
At Shoshoji Temple, located in a temple town with over 400 years of history, you can reset your mind and body through kendo practice, sermons, and sutra chanting. Morning activities include kendo practice, a guided tour of the temple, listening to the head priest's sermon and sutra chanting amid the Japanese aroma wafting from the incense burner, and calming your mind with incense. There is also a Japanese drumming experience and free morning porridge, providing an extraordinary sense of healing. Evening activities are also held outside of the summer.
